Dakshin Bijni Degree College
To ensure the smooth functioning of the college and create an atmosphere conducive to learning, all students are expected to adhere to the following rules and regulations:
1. General Discipline

Students must maintain a high standard of discipline and behave in a respectful manner towards all members of the college community.

Students should refrain from any form of indiscipline, including verbal or physical violence, disruptive behavior, or any action that disturbs the academic environment.
2. Attendance

Students must attend all classes regularly. A minimum attendance of 75% in each subject is required to be eligible for appearing in exams.

Students who are absent for more than 15 consecutive days without prior permission may face disciplinary action.
3. Punctuality

Students should arrive on time for all classes, examinations, and college events.

Latecomers will not be allowed to enter the classroom after the session has begun without valid reasons.
4. Use of Mobile Phones

The use of mobile phones is strictly prohibited during class hours. Mobile phones must be switched off or set to silent mode while in the classroom, library, or other academic areas.

Students caught using mobile phones inappropriately will face disciplinary action.
5. Dress Code

Students must wear the prescribed uniform at all times while on campus, including during classes, examinations, and official college events.

The uniform details, including color, style, and fabric, will be provided at the time of admission. Students must ensure that their uniforms are clean, well-maintained, and in good condition.

Personal grooming, including haircuts and overall appearance, should align with the college's standards. Students should maintain a neat and tidy appearance in accordance with the uniform guidelines.
6. Examinations

Students must adhere to all examination rules, including punctuality, proper conduct, and adherence to seating arrangements.

Any form of malpractice during examinations, including cheating or plagiarism, will lead to severe disciplinary action, including expulsion.
7. Hostel Rules (if applicable)

Students residing in the college hostel must comply with the hostel rules and maintain a peaceful atmosphere.

Hostellers are expected to maintain cleanliness and respect the rights and privacy of others.

Any damage to hostel property will be charged to the student responsible.
8. Substance Abuse and Smoking

The consumption of alcohol, tobacco, or any form of illegal substances on college premises is strictly prohibited.

Students found violating this rule will face disciplinary actions, including suspension or expulsion.
9. College Property

Students must respect and take care of all college property, including furniture, equipment, and infrastructure.

Any student found damaging or defacing college property will be fined or subjected to further disciplinary measures.
10. Behavior Outside College Premises

Students' behavior outside the college, particularly on social media, should reflect the values of the college. Misrepresentation of the college or involvement in any activity that harms its reputation will lead to disciplinary action.
11. Library Rules

Students are expected to maintain silence and discipline while using the library.

Books must be handled carefully, and library materials should not be damaged, lost, or misplaced. Borrowing books requires the return of previous books before new ones are issued.
12. Transportation

Students must use designated college transport if applicable and follow all traffic rules while commuting.

Students using their own vehicles should park them in authorized areas and must adhere to college rules related to safety.
13. Grievance Redressal

Any student who has a grievance related to academics, faculty, or college facilities can address the issue by submitting a formal written complaint to the college authorities.

The college management will take appropriate action to resolve the matter in a fair and timely manner.
14. Anti-Ragging Policy

Dakshin Bijni Degree College adheres to a strict anti-ragging policy. Ragging in any form is prohibited and subject to legal action under the Anti-Ragging Act of India.

Any student found involved in ragging will face immediate suspension or expulsion.
15. Environmental Responsibility

Students should contribute to maintaining cleanliness and environmental sustainability on campus.

Littering, misuse of resources, and disregard for environmental efforts will be treated as serious offenses.
16. Disciplinary Action

Any violation of the above rules may result in disciplinary action, including warnings, fines, suspension, or expulsion, depending on the nature of the offense.

In cases of serious violations, the college reserves the right to take immediate action to maintain the integrity and discipline of the institution.
